Gerry & Star Thornton
Worship Leaders
Gerry & Star met December 1978 through a mutual friend. Three and half years later were married just before graduating from college together. Even while in college they were active in a band. After moving to Virginia they opened a full line music store and a 96-track digital recording studio. They continued to stay active in a band, playing at several local venues. God redirected their musical talents to serving Him and they started serving in the praise team at their home church in VA. God led them to PA where they served as the worship leaders for their church. Their next God led journey brought them to GA where they helped several churches get their music ministries started.

Gerry's career led them to NC for a short while until Gerry retired October 2018 after spending 34 years in the lighting industry. Gerry currently serves as an active board member of Family Christian Church Inc. Star continues to work as a Senior Branch Office Administrator for an Edward Jones office in Peachtree City and currently serves as Treasurer for Family Christian Church Inc.

They have been serving in Music Ministry for over 28 years. Their passion is to serve God with the talents He has given them. They have facilitated small group Bible studies. Star has served all ages of children in Youth Ministry. They enjoy riding their motorcycle, playing music and gardening. Gerry enjoys restoring cars and motorcycles and composing music which he has copywritten.
Joe Burns
President
Joe grew up in Jonesboro, GA and was raised in the Episcopal Church. He was born again at the age of 12. Joe grew up in the church and has been an active member, volunteering where-ever he was needed, helping out with youth group, driving the church bus and being on the Board of Directors.

Joe retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company after 30 years of service.

At the present time Joe is serving as President of Family Christian Church Inc and is an active board member of Family Christian Church. Joe also serves with the worship team as an audio/video volunteer.
